Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses
Last fall, Brandon was accepted and graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. There were 2,000 applicantes, 600 of those were interviewed, and of those 600 only 140 were chosen to be part of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program National Cohort 12. Out of the 30 million small business in the US, only 9,700 have graduated from this program, or 0.0003%.
The program consisted of a nine week curriculum, focused on guiding entrepreneurs on best practices for job creation and economic opportunity by providing access to education, capital and business support services. During this nine weeks, twice Brandon traveled to Babson College is Wellesly, Massachusetts for a full week of in person learning. The remaining weeks consisted of online classroom and homework assignments. The program ends with a two minute pitch in front of peers, investors, and faculty.
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a public-private partnership to unlock the growth and job-creation potential of small business owners. Led by co-chairs Lloyd Blankfiend, Warren Buffett, Michael R. Bloomberd, and Dr. Michael Porter, the program provides businesses with a practical business and management education, business support services and access to capital.
The experience and resources were something that Red Tree is excited to be working on. We are excitedd to have the opportunity to now implement these into the opportunity statement that Brandon created and worked on. Right now we look to release this new process to Red Tree in the third quarter of 2020.
The amount of information, resources, and contacts gained were invaluable. Thank you - Murphy at Kudzu Brands for the recommendation.
