The International Builders’ Show (IBS) is always a highlight of the year, but 2025 was something special. This time around, my focus wasn’t just on products and trends - it was about building relationships and strengthening our network for the future. From connecting with manufacturers to diving into land development strategies, this year was all about enriching the partnerships that will shape what’s next for Red Tree Builders and Alair Homes.

A Few Standout Moments
Networking was my top priority, but the show had no shortage of unforgettable moments. One of the biggest highlights for me was Ashley’s presentation. I’ll be honest – it got to me. Watching her speak, seeing the confidence and expertise she brought to the stage, it felt like a proud dad moment. Even thinking about it now, I get chills. That kind of leadership and passion is exactly why we do what we do.

Meeting so many Alair team members for the first time was another major highlight. The camaraderie and energy of this group is unmatched. Time and time again, people came up to us saying, "Man, you guys are everywhere. What is Alair Homes all about? How does this partnership with Red Tree Builders work? I had no idea so many top builders were part of this - tell me more!" That’s the power of building real relationships and being part of a team that truly supports one another.

Shoutouts to Our Partners
It wouldn’t be IBS without taking time to connect with the manufacturers and partners that make what we do possible. Huge thanks to SKS for hosting us after hours - their hospitality was next level, and it’s exciting to see our partnership continue to grow. Andersen and Huber also deserve a big shoutout. These companies consistently push the envelope in innovation, and it’s always great to see what they have in the works and continue to grow our partnership

Talking Resilient Building
One of the most important conversations I had throughout the show was about climate resilience. After the storm we went through last year, I spent a lot of time discussing how we should be rebuilding - not just in our community, but across the country. Climate-resilient building isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a necessity. Seeing that conversation gain momentum at IBS was encouraging, and I’m looking forward to continuing to push for smarter, stronger, and more sustainable building practices.

The Best of IBS
It’s always been my thing to keep an eye on the Best of IBS Awards. These winners represent the most innovative products hitting the market, and I always look for ways we can integrate them into our projects. Keeping an eye on these up-and-coming innovations helps us stay ahead of the curve and bring the best to our homeowners.

A Reminder of How Far We’ve Come
The true highlight of IBS 2025? Realizing how far we’ve come. The way our company is seen, the way our team is recognized - it’s incredible. Running into some of my closest friends in the industry at random places, sharing stories, and seeing the genuine excitement about what we’re doing, it just reinforces that we’re on the right path. This show wasn’t just about new ideas; it was about celebrating the relationships that make all of this possible.

IBS 2025 was one for the books, and I’m already looking forward to what’s next. Until then, it’s time to take everything we learned and turn it into action.
